Absortec Molecular Sieve 3A Usage

Molecular Sieve 3A is used for dehydration of cracked, gas, propylene, butadiene, and acetylene, and for methanol, and ethanol, drying. As a static desiccant, in manufacturing of insulated glass, refrigeration systems, and as scavenger in paint.

Molecular Sieve 3A is highly adsorbents which can be used in a wide range of industrial process including the drying of refrigerants, removal of water from ethene and olefinic hydrocarbons, natural gas processing and petrochemical industry.

Absortec Molecular Sieve 3A is an alkali metal alumino-silicate; it is the potassium form of the typ A crystal structure. Type 3A has an effective pore opening of about 3 angstroms (0.3nm). This is large enough to allow in moisture, but excludes molecules such as unsaturated hydrocarbons which can potentially form polymers; and this maximises lifetime when dehydrating such molecules.

Molecular Sieve Regeneration:
Molecular Sieve 3A can be reactivated by thermal sewing, vacuum desorption or gas displacement, the regeneration mode is based on the feed composition.
